Running for Bella 2007

Net.Orange is proud to announce that the Running for Bella 5K Race, held in Norman, OK on March 24th, 2007, was a great success.  We were excited to have been the Sponsor for such a great cause and to be at the forefront of raising more than $15,000 for Isabella Stringer and Lissencephaly Research.

Eleven-month-old Isabella Stringer suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Lissencephaly.  Lissencephaly is an extremely rare brain malformation that requires daily treatment to keep life-threatening seizures at bay.  As hard as Lissencephaly is to pronounce, it is an even harder condition to come to terms with.  Isabella suffers from Type 1 Lissencephaly, which means she will never develop past the stages of a 1-month-old and has just 1 to 2 years left of life.

The Event started the early morning off with a bang, with Bella in the front.  The crowd cheered on as more than 500 runners/walkers crossed the finish line with our very own Gregg Poe and Kevin Abbey participating in the Run.
Net.Orange was located at the Start/Finish line providing Oranges, Orange Gatorade, and words of encouragement to the participants.

Net.Orange takes every advantage to give back to the local communities that help us flourish as a fast-growing company.  It is this “closeness to the issues” that give us the best insights into how our products can help quicken the pace towards a superb quality of life for all.
